Dave has over twenty years of experience practicing law in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, and related matters. He advises individuals, couples, and families on subjects ranging from straightforward estate planning to advanced strategies to reduce estate taxes and transfer wealth to younger generations. He strives to explain legal matters and issues in plain English, and enjoys helping clients find practical ways to achieve their estate planning goals.
Dave earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University, and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Boston College Law School.
Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable Patti B. Saris, of the United States District Court, and the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court. He then worked in the Trial and Appellate Bureaus of the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dave subsequently joined the Boston office of WilmerHale LLP (formerly Hale and Dorr LLP), where he practiced law in the Private Client Department for over seven years, focused on sophisticated estate planning, charitable planning, and estate and trust administration.
He has lectured with Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and other organizations, and is a Member of several local Estate Planning and Bar organizations.
