Tom has been assisting clients in the estate planning field for over twenty years. He advises clients on a broad array of estate planning techniques ranging from the simple to the sophisticated. This includes the preparation of basic estate planning documents as well as the implementation of complex planning strategies which are designed to preserve wealth and reduce taxes. Tom enjoys working with clients to craft their personal estate plans, and he is grateful to have the opportunity to serve as a trusted advisor to so many client families.
Tom began his legal career in the Private Client Department of WilmerHale LLP (formerly Hale and Dorr LLP), where he practiced estate planning from 2000 to 2006. In 2006, he left WilmerHale and co-founded Megan & O’Shea LLC with David Megan.
Tom earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College, cum laude, and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Boston College Law School.
Tom has lectured with the Boston Bar Association, and is a Member of the Boston Estate Planning Council, as well as other professional organizations.
